We believe early detection is key, so at Fremont Animal Hospital we offer complete in-house diagnostics including the most advanced equipment and an on-site laboratory. This saves time, money, and most importantly, you don’t have to wait overnight for results—meaning your pet gets a diagnosis and needed treatment sooner.

Diagnostic Services

In-House Laboratory

A veterinarian with long brown hair peers into a microscope in a laboratory setting. A monitor attached to the microscope displays an image, while a grid-like board is visible on the wall in the background.
We can run most essential and pre-surgical blood screenings, fecal tests, urinalysis, and cytologies. We also use a reference laboratory and work with board certified pathologists to ensure reliable test results. +

Digital Radiology (X-rays)

A person with long blonde hair smiles while holding a small black and white puppy wearing a pink harness, possibly just back from the vet. The setting appears to be indoors.
X-rays are used to diagnose various cardiac, pulmonary, abdominal, musculoskeletal, and traumatic conditions. We also have the ability to perform renal and barium radiographic series. We have the ability to have any of our images reviewed by a board-certified radiologist to ensure accuracy. +

Dental Radiography (Dental X-rays)

A veterinarian in a dark t-shirt with a green design tends to a white dog at the clinic. Masked and focused, they skillfully perform a medical procedure amidst the necessary equipment.
We use digital dental equipment to X-ray for both diagnostic and treatment purpose. We can send these radiographic images to a board-certified dentist if needed for consult on complex dental procedures. +

Diagnostic Ultrasound

A fluffy cat lies on its back on a table for an ultrasound scan. A veterinarian holds the cat steady while another gently applies the ultrasound probe to its belly.
Ultrasound is a non-invasive way to diagnose various abdominal and cardiovascular conditions. It provides a visual mapping of the body’s internal cavities and organs and is used for regular cystocentesis, and fluid removal, known as electrocardiograms (EKG/ECG). All are available to be reviewed electronically by a board-certified radiologist. +

Ophthalmology

A French Bulldog wearing a teal collar is gently held by a veterinarian in black gloves. The dog looks calm and relaxed, surrounded by dark-colored clothing.
Our veterinarians use Tonopen/Tonovet to diagnose ocular pressure related conditions such as uveitis and glaucoma. Schirmer testing and fluorescein dye tests are also used for the correct diagnosis of eye injuries and conditions. +

Allergy Testing

A person gently holds and pets a happy brown dog with a blue leash, indoors, after their visit to the veterinarian.
Allergies are one of the most common skin conditions in veterinary medicine. Our veterinarians will help you work through these challenging issues with testing and solutions. +
